Osmaleya with Strawberries

I love details because it always make everything looks better. And in my cooking, I’m known for new and innovative looks that are full of fine details. That is why I love cooking Osmaleya as it is a dessert you can play with, innovate in and add details to, even if they are simple, they are always effective like adding strawberries and kiri that definitely makes the Osmaleya tastier. Servings 10 | Cooking Time 90 minutes | Preparation Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

250gm of ready-made osmaleya dough
½ cup (125 ml) melted butter
Filling Ingredients:
15 kiri squares
1 tablespoon blossom water
1 cup (200 gm) fresh strawberries
¼ cup fresh cream
2 tablespoons of sugar
The Syrup Ingredients:
2 cups of water
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon blossom water
1 teaspoon rose water
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Mix the melted butter with the ready-made dough
  2. Split the dough into two parts
  3. Spread the dough with the thickness of 1cm over two trays
  4. Bake both trays with the oven heating of 180 degrees celsius for 12 minutes and then leave aside to cool down
Filling preparation:
  1. Place the fresh cream and kiri squares in the mixer
  2. Add the sugar and mix together
  3. Place the first half of the baked dough on the serving dish
  4. Spread it the creamy filling over it
  5. Lay out the cutup strawberry pieces over the filling
  6. Place the other half on top
  7. Serve the osmanleya with the syrup
The Syrup preparation:
  1. Pour the cup of sugar with the water into a pot and once boiled, add the lemon juice.
  2. Mix until cooled
  3. Add the vanilla, the rose water and the blossom water
